Strap on Your Hard Hat: How to Survive Construction Projects

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

How can IT leaders make a difference in school construction projects? What challenges and opportunities can you expect if your school decides to build? How will you deal with the complexity and chaos such projects inevitably bring? IT Director Curt Lieneck will share what he has learned during five years of construction at his school.

In a light-hearted blend of presentation and discussion, including thoughts and insights from attendees, we'll go over the stages of construction projects, when and how the IT leader should be involved in each phase of the project, what to expect as the project unfolds, leading and managing your IT team during disruptive times, and strategies for preserving your sanity and getting the outcomes you desire. This session will be valuable for IT leaders whose schools are considering major construction, are already engaged in it, or recently completed it. Participants who've been through construction projects can add value to the session by coming prepared to share their experience and insights.

Participants will learn the stages of construction projects and strategies for coping with the extraordinary demands construction makes on individuals and teams.
