Implementation vs. Integration - often schools rapidly adopt the implementation of technology with devices thrust into the thirsty hands of the faculty and students in 1:1 programs across the ecosystem - but what’s next? Technology integration is more than just an LMS or homework turned in online. It demands a change of pedagogical mindset for faculty and a different approach to teaching and learning for both the teacher and the student in terms of planning and outcomes. Join us in a session that considers how any school can build a roadmap to successful and sustainable technology integration. Using Design Thinking to reflect on various recognized models; SAMR, T-Pack and LoTi, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on these authentic technology integration tools and discuss methods to engage their faculty to use technology as part of their planning process. Participants will evaluate which of these powerful integration tools might be best suited to their context and consider their personal action planning to deliver them, leaving the session with a roadmap to navigate their school to a deeper understanding of integration over implementation.
