Ed-Tech leaders, many who are rapidly acquiring titles such as Directors of Innovation, need to co-lead learning space transformations. Schools are scrambling to modernize their buildings in light of new knowledge about teaching and learning in the 21st century. How can ed-tech leaders become key catalysts and collaborators thinking beyond "technology" and beyond "maker-spaces?"How can we catalyze the conditions within the school community to launch bold project visions? Who should we seek out? Who should be involved? 
Join us for an interactive and generative design-thinking process.  We'll consider renovations to existing spaces such as: converting libraries into multifunctional Learning Commons; adapting computer labs to multi­-use student­-centered Spark Studios; transitioning a dozen K­12 classrooms into Learning Studios; and converting single ­function public spaces into multi­function Learning Commons.

The how and why of providing devices to all students. Attendees will learn the common pitfalls and best practices supported by scholarly articles, experience, and wit. Attendees will walk away with a new network of support for 1:1 integration, checklists, scholarly articles that support integration, and a new elevator pitch about the need for student devices. What is your mission? Should you choose to accept it, the mission of the school is a powerful argument for the augmentation provided by device integration as it brings the world to the students and provides them an opportunity to change the world.
